Warwick planning roundup: Solar farm, right of way diverted and Aldi update
Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Solar Farm
A solar farm that could provide clean electricity to nearly 15,000 family homes is set to be built at Ashorne Hill.
JBM Solar Projects 24 Ltd has been granted permission to build the energy generation station on 99.61 hectares of land at Chesterton Fields Farm.
'Ashorne Solar Park', which is located off the Fosse Way, just south of Bishops Tachbrook, will be split into three sections - two for solar panels and a much smaller third area for a substation.

Right of Way Diverted
HS2 has announced that it will divert a public right of way in Ladbroke for three years as it removes large amounts of earth in the area.
SM90, also known as the Harry Green Way, will be diverted near Ladbroke Hill Lane from Monday 22 August.
----------
Aldi Update
Aldi has provided an update on its new store at Tachbrook Park Drive which it says is expected to open this autumn.
Planning permission was granted for the larger shop right next to its existing store between Leamington and Warwick last August despite concerns about parking.
The supermarket giants were given permission to demolish the former Mothercare unit to build a contemporary, energy efficient shop expected to be 22 per cent bigger than the previous one.
----------
Storage for Caravan Site
Storage containers will replace caravans at a site on the edge of Wellesbourne Airfield in spite of environmental concerns from the local parish council.
Cllr Anne Prior, of Wellesbourne and Walton Parish Council, said there had been opposition to the plans ever since the first batch of 20 containers were allowed on appeal at the Newlands caravan site back in 2010.
A further 50 were added in 2015 with the operators of the business now seeking permission to take the total number up to 90.
