Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
'Ruined' Village
Nearly 50 people have objected to plans to build 35 new houses in Barford, which one local said would "ruin" the village.
Kendrick Homes submitted a planning application for the scheme along Westham Lane to Warwick District Council last year, as it aimed to turn a parcel of grassland into a new estate.
The developer described the scheme as a "logical infill" for the village with a mixture of one to five bedroom homes.
But locals have not been so positive, with questions raised over parking, the need for more houses and overdevelopment.

Showroom to Shops
A former Warwick car showroom which has been empty for nearly a year might be turned into two new shops.
The former Kia showroom on Stratford Road has been vacant since April 2023 and has recently been on the market with local property agent Bromwich Hardy.
But now an application to convert the showroom into two retail units has been submitted to Warwick District Council by Warwickshire Partnership.

New Signs
New wayfinding signs will be installed across Warwick town centre, if plans are signed off by Warwick District Council.
Warwick Town Council has applied for planning permission to remove the existing finger posts from across the town to make way for a number of new information boards, signs and updated finger posts.
Thirty-one new signs have been proposed to make a "comprehensive pedestrian wayfinding strategy and signage design scheme" for Warwick.
