Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Mega Lab
The Rosalind Franklin Laboratory is set to become a permanent feature in the district after councillors granted permission for its planning permission to be extended.
The Harrison Way lab first opened in July 2021 - six months later than intended - to help tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
Originally allowed to run until February 2023, the United Kingdom Health Security Agency has now been granted full planning permission by Warwick District Council for the former Axiom building to permanently become a medical research facility.

Oakley Grove Worries
Warwick's new all-through school at Oakley Grove is now set to cost £60.46 million – more than £10 million more than Warwickshire County Council originally budgeted for.
Extra funding was agreed in July and councillors approved an additional £4.31 million at this week's full council meeting to cover the cost of extra earthworks identified during further survey work.
A portion will also pay for highways work with £1 million needed to account for the inflation costs for labour and materials.

Jewellers to House
Plans to turn a former Warwick jewellers into a three-bedroom house have been approved by district planners.
Robothams Architects has been granted permission to extend and modify the H. H. Bray shop on Jury Street to become a bigger home.
The floors above the shop were already a flat, but now the ground floor of the three-storey building will be converted to form new kitchen and dining areas.
