Warwick planning roundup: New cafe, police HQ and banking hub

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Banking Hub Bid
The former Holland & Barrett unit in the centre of Warwick could be home to the town's new banking hub, a planning application has revealed.
With Lloyds on Swan Street closing in June, and many of the other major banks already having left the town, Warwick is set to get the one-stop shop for all major banks.
Councillors this week raised concerns about the future of the proposed facility after it was revealed the hub was unlikely to be heading to Shire Hall as expected.
Police Parking
Plans to double the number of parking spaces at Warwickshire Police's Leek Wootton headquarters have been criticised by locals who have labelled them "dangerous".
The force has applied for planning permission to introduce a new one-way system and create another 362 parking spots at its Warwick Road base which it says will alleviate a number of issues on site.
In an application to Warwick District Council, Warwickshire Police said there needs to be enough spaces for its 550 full-time staff members.
Could Cafe be Coming?
Warwick could soon be getting a new café as plans to turn a former art shop into a coffee shop have been revealed.
Sunrise Coffee (Warwick) LTD has applied for planning permission to install new signs to the unit on Swan Street which was once home to AE Contemporary Art which recently closed after 35 years in town.
Plans show the town centre unit could have simple 'Sunrise Coffee' signage installed, and it has already been painted bright yellow.
