Warwick planning roundup: More houses, dog walking and giant solar farm
Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Local Plan Progress
A further eight sites for potential new housing developments around Warwick have been suggested to the local councils.
The plots have been put forward as part of the second 'call for sites' for the new South Warwickshire Local Plan (SWLP).
The results of the second call for sites have now been published, with a number of sites on the outskirts of Warwick identified for development.

Dog Walking Denied
Plans to launch a dog walking business at a local farm have been thwarted for a second time by district planners.
A previous application to turn a field at Squab Hall Farm in Bishops Tachbrook into a dog walking site was turned down by Warwick District Council (WDC) in September.
The council described the plans as "harmful" to the local area.
And now a second scheme - for a different piece of land at the Harbury Lane farm - has been thrown out.

Solar Farm Goes Forward
Permission for a giant solar farm to power 14,500 homes has been granted on farm land little more than a mile away from Leamington Football Club – albeit by the tightest of calls.
Around 89 hectares of land across two plots near Harbury and Ufton will be covered by solar panels for up to 40 years after the vice-chair of Stratford-on-Avon District Council's planning committee Cllr Stuart Keighley used his casting vote to decide.
