Warwick planning roundup: Industrial estate, new Costa and shelves uproar

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Industrial Building
Detailed plans for the final plot on a Warwick industrial estate have been signed off by the district council.
A planning application for a new industrial building at 1001 Tournament Fields has been signed off for developer Barberry.
The total floorspace of the building will be 7,920 square metres.
Drive Thru Dilemma
Over 100 people have objected to plans to build a drive thru Costa Coffee near Warwick Cemetery.
Warwick 27a Ltd has submitted a planning application for the new business on Haywood Road, saying the site is in a "sustainable location" and a suitable distance "from both the town centre and the highway".
Plans show the site would have 19 parking spaces, an external seating area as well as the drive thru lane.
Removed Without Permission
Local residents have told the council a local developer should be forced to replace the shelving it ripped down without permission from a grade II listed building in the centre of Warwick.
Cobalt Developments has submitted a retrospective application to Warwick District Council asking for permission to remove a series of historic shelves from a former ironmongers - having already done so.
The 19th century unit has been vacant since September 2023 when Brogan's Irish Bar closed.
