Detailed plans for the final plot on a Warwick industrial estate have been signed off by the district council.

A planning application for a new industrial building at 1001 Tournament Fields has been signed off for developer Barberry.

The total floorspace of the building will be 7,920 square metres.

"The form and massing of the proposed new building follows closely that of the previously consented building," the application explained.

"The form is rectilinear and simple with clean lines, though in this building alone the roof form is made up from a series of shallow barrel vaults.

"This is intended to create a "softer" appearance, more in keeping with the green, lakeside setting."

Outline plans for the development had already been given the green light, with this application only for full design details.

A Warwick District Council report signing off on the application: "The proposal is acceptable in design, highways and visual impact terms.

"Officers are satisfied that the scheme would not have an adverse impact on the amenity of neighbouring properties subject to the previously recommended conditions."
