Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Hotel's Bedroom Bid
A major extension could be built at a local hotel if plans are signed off by Warwick District Council.
Turnbrook Limited has applied for planning permission for a two-storey extension to the back of The Jephson Hotel on Warwick New Road.
If approved, the scheme would see another 21 rooms added to the hotel.
Designs also include a new rear reception entrance, car parking and car access.
Lidl Rolls On
Councillors will be given the chance to have their say on a new Lidl near Warwick and Leamington Spa.
A decision on the demolition of Europa House to make way for the supermarket was pulled before Warwick District Council's planning committee last month after concerns were raised that other sites had not been given enough consideration.
Planning policies state a 'sequential test' is needed for retail spaces and that town centre locations should be prioritised before an out-of-town site is considered.
Leper Hospital
An 800-year-old former leper hospital being turned into affordable homes in Warwick could be used to house veterans, the councillor in charge of housing in the area has said.
Speaking at last week's Warwick District Council meeting, Cllr Jessica Melrose revealed the idea for St Michael's Place and said she would put together a full plan for councillors to consider.
Restoration work at the grade II listed site began in July this year, with the redevelopment set to turn the historic building into affordable rental accommodation.
