Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Hotel to Homes
An appeal has been lodged after yet another application to turn a grade II listed hotel into homes was turned down by Warwick District Council.
High Desert International Limited was refused permission to convert the Glebe Hotel into four houses and four apartments at the end of last year, after 35 members of the public raised objections.
District planners criticised the poor quality of the design and said it would "dominate" the street scene.

Station Works Start
Warwick's MP has welcomed work "at last" starting on two new lifts at Warwick Station.
Work on the multi-million-pound project began in January and will see the new lifts installed in the existing subway as part of the government's access for all scheme.
They will provide step-free access for passengers using platforms 1 and 2 for the first time.

Shop Becomes Café
Plans to turn a mobile phone shop at Tachbrook Park Drive shopping centre into a café have been given the green light by district planners.
Abrdn PLC has been given planning permission to turn the unit previously occupied by EE into a coffee shop, with a change of use application approved by Warwick District Council.
The application said a new café would "provide shoppers with a place to stop and eat or drink whilst visiting the retail park".
