Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.

Hotel's Patio

Neighbours have objected to "unbearable" plans to keep a recently refurbished patio area at a Victorian Warwick hotel.

A retrospective planning application has been submitted to Warwick District Council by the Warwick Arms Hotel for renovations to an already existing patio area.

Holland & Barrett

An international tutoring business has seen its plans to turn a former Warwick shop into an educational centre blocked by the district council.

Mathnasium had applied for planning permission to convert the closed Holland & Barrett store on High Street into a tutoring space, adding to its 1,000 centres worldwide.

The company said the town centre unit was the perfect location, owing to the convenience for parents and the number of surrounding businesses.

Market Hall

Warwick's Market Hall Museum has been given permission to keep its outside seating for another 12 months.

The Market Place tourist attraction has had its application to Warwick District Council for a new pavement licence granted.

The licence will allow the museum to keep its six tables and 16 chair in place.
