Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
'Dilapidated' Shop Stopped
Plans to turn a "dilapidated" Warwick shop into a family home have been thrown out by district planners who labelled the scheme "unacceptable".
The application, submitted to Warwick District Council (WDC), would have seen the vacant shop on Smith Street turned to residential use to create a "family home".
Plans state the grade II listed retail space has been vacant since October 2022, and repurposing it would "improve the appearance of the street".

Residents Battle Barn Repurposing
Plans to turn a "redundant barn" into a wedding venue have been put forward to the district council, but have already been met by fierce objections.
The planning application to convert The Old Dairy in Eathorpe -which also includes details for a new track and car park - says the venue could host up to 120 guests and up to two weddings per week.
So far over 20 objections have been submitted to the green belt development, but the application says the scheme will not impact the local area.

Market Hall
Warwick's Market Hall Museum has been given permission to keep its outside seating for another 12 months.
The Market Place tourist attraction has had its application to Warwick District Council for a new pavement licence granted.
The licence will allow the museum to keep its six tables and 16 chair in place.
