Flood warnings and alerts have been put in place across South Warwickshire following heavy rain overnight.

The Environment Agency has this morning (November 24) put a warning in place for Gog Brook in Warwick, as well as an alert for the River Avon.

The former says: "River levels have risen at the Warwick Old Budbrooke Road river gauge as a result of Storm Bert.

"Consequently, flooding of property and farmland is possible today, Sunday 24/11/2024.

"We expect flooding to affect properties along Lodge Crescent

"Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.

"We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.

"Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and move family, pets, possessions, valuables and cars to safety."

The alert for the River Avon runs from Rugby through to Bidford.

This also says flooding is possible on farmland, roads and homes.

An alert is also in place for the Rivers Leam and Itchen
