Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

Estate to Erode Village?

Plans for 250 new homes in Leek Wootton would "erode" the character of the village, residents objecting to the scheme have said.

Over 30 locals have objected to Caddick Land Limited's application for a new estate on land between Warwick Road, the dual carriageway, and the roundabout with Coventry Road.

Plans show the estate would include a mixture of one to four bedroom houses, half of which would be designated affordable homes.

Padel Plans

Councillors will next week decide whether to allow a Warwick sports club to have padel courts in place permanently.

Warwick Boat Club was last year given temporary permission to keep a 'pop up' court which it installed without permission.

The planning committee at Warwick District Council allowed the court to stay in place until March 2026 as neighbours complained about the potential noise impact.

Pub Garden Plans

A Warwick pub has been given the green light for a makeover for its beer garden.

Warwick District Council has signed off on a number of works for the Railway Inn on Guy Street.

Listed building consent was granted for Admiral Taverns for a new pergola with lighting, new astro turf, paving and fences to be installed.
