Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Detailed Plans for 424 New Homes
Detailed plans to build 424 homes south of Warwick have been submitted to the district council
The houses will form the second part of The Asps development, between Europa Way and Banbury Road.
Ultimately the site will see 900 homes, a primary school and park and ride with up to 500 spaces built.

Ice Rink Allowed
The popular ice rink will return to Warwick Castle this Christmas after temporary planning permission was granted by Warwick District Council.
Merlin Attraction Ltd had applied for the rink to be in place from November 1 to January 31 for both of the next two winters, saying it would bring a further 30,000 visitors to the town each year.
The application said winter is a "quieter time" for the castle and the rink would help "diversify the offering" at the tourist attraction.

Solar Scheme Stopped
Concerns that a new solar farm between Harbury and Ufton consisting of hundreds of panels, storage containers, a substation and a 15-metre-high communications tower would urbanise the countryside have prompted councillors to reject the plans.
Leicestershire Solar 1 Ltd had hoped to create the site on two parcels of land near to Middle Road Farm between the two villages but members of Stratford District Council's planning committee voted against the scheme by six votes to five at their meeting this week.
