Warwick paddling pool reopens after faecal matter found in water just one day after reopening
By Nadia Sayed 31st Jul 2026
Warwick's paddling pool has reopened after faecal matter was found in the water yesterday.
The pool at St Nicholas Park closed on 30 July, just one day after it reopened to the public for the first time on 29 July.
Prior to this, the facility had been shut for nearly two years, initially closing for refurbishment works back in 2024.
After being emptied, deep cleaned and treated following the recent closure, the pool is open again.
Sharing the news, Warwick District Council said: "Help us keep the paddling pool clean and enjoyable for everyone. If you're visiting, please remember children who need them should wear a swim-nappy while using the paddling pool.
"Please take your rubbish home with you, including used nappies, as this will keep the area clean and safe for everyone.
"Thank you for helping us look after this popular community space. Enjoy your visit!"
