Official opening date for Warwick paddling pool announced after two-year-long closure
By Nadia Sayed 28th Jul 2026
An official opening date for Warwick's paddling pool has been announced.
The pool at St Nicholas' Park will open tomorrow, Wednesday 29 July, the council has confirmed.
It comes after a two-year-long closure of the pool, with ongoing maintenance works taking place up until this month (July).
While the pool was expected to reopen in May 2025, this was delayed by the need for further works.
Warwick District Council (WDC) has now shared that the pool will reopen this week (29 July) and is expected to be very busy.
The council added that visitors are "advised to wear non-slip pool shoes; and not exceed the maximum capacity of 70 as this may impact the performance of the water features."
Although the pool will not be supervised, a maintenance and care team will monitor cleanliness and visitor numbers throughout the day.
Leamington's pool at Victoria Park, which has also been closed for nearly two years, is also expected to open in the following days. WDC has further confirmed the date and opening times will be announced soon.
