Warwick named seventh best place to live in Warwickshire
By James Smith 2nd Nov 2026
Warwick has been named as the seventh-best place to live in Warwickshire.
The ranking, released by online lifestyle guide Muddy Stilettos, places Shipston-on-Stour as the best place to live in the county.
Warwick was beaten by fellow district towns Leamington Spa (second) and Kenilworth (sixth).
Of Warwick, the guide said: "Warwick Castle is quite the local landmark, but there's more to living here than having battlements on your doorstep.
"Boating on the river, leafy parks and well-regarded schools make a persuasive case for families, while Leamington Spa is close enough for a change of scene without much planning.
"Stratford's RSC, Coventry's universities and Birmingham's nightlife are all within reach too.
"Add a central location, and you can see the appeal for commuters, creatives and academics – although the castle might clinch it for the kids."
