A Warwick hotel has asked for permission to sell alcohol for longer throughout the week.

The Coaching Inn Group Ltd has put forward an application for a new licence at the Warwick Arms Hotel.

The business currently sells alcohol from 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and from 12noon to 10.30pm on Sundays.

If approved, the licence would allow the High Street venue to sell alcohol from 10am to midnight seven days per week. Live music would also be allowed until 2am all week - the current Sunday cut-off is 10.30pm.

This licence bid comes as the historic hotel is closed for a major upgrade.

The Coaching Inn Group is spending over £1 million on the work.

The project will update all 40 bedrooms, the bar, and the dining areas. The Grade II listed building shut its doors for the work in September. It is set to open again on Friday, 14 November.
