The Warwick Arms Hotel, located in the heart of Warwick, will temporarily close its doors from Sunday 21 September to begin a significant refurbishment project.

Following its acquisition by the award-winning Coaching Inn Group in July 2025, the group is investing over £1 million to transform the historic property.

The hotel will reopen on Friday 14 November and is taking bookings for stays and dining now.

The extensive renovation will include a full refurbishment of the hotel's 40 bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the replacement of all windows, a complete roof repair, and installation of new public bathrooms, including an accessible bathroom.

The bar, lounge, and restaurant areas will also be redesigned with a bespoke style tailored for both hotel guests and the local visitors.

Appointed General Manager of The Warwick Arms Hotel following the acquisition, James Brown said: "I'm thrilled to be taking the reins and steering this amazing hotel into a new era.

"This refurbishment marks a huge step forward for this beloved, historic hotel, and it will be a privilege to welcome back our loyal guests and greet new visitors, especially as we head into the festive period."

As part of the transformation, the Coaching Inn Group will be expanding the hotel's team, recruiting additional team members, including chefs, bar staff, and restaurant assistants.

Interested applicants can find out more information on The Coaching Inn Group's careers page.

Chief Operating Officer of The Coaching Inn Group, Adam Charity added: "Our business ethos has always been – and remains – to unlock the potential of locations, blending heritage and charm with modern luxury to create unique and memorable stays. This is exactly what's in store for The Warwick Arms Hotel.

"We are so pleased to be giving it a new lease of life, and have confidence that James will lead the transformation with passion and precision, ensuring the site reaches its full potential.

"I look forward to joining the team as they unveil the final refurbishment in November, welcoming both new guests and team members to a fantastic hotel."
