Here is a roundup of the biggest decisions that have been made by the local councils in the last month.

Warwick District Council

A date has been announced for Warwick's Victorian Evening and light switch on.

The council's 'flagship' hydrogen strategy was unanimously backed by cabinet at the start of the month.

And the leader of the district council has said now is not the time for a general election despite the resignation of Liz Truss as prime minister on Thursday (October 20)

And the council has back a petition to reduce pesticide use across the district, while also declaring an ecological emergency,

Warwickshire County Council

The council has announced this month that £800,000 has been spent on 170 new EV charging points across Warwickshire in recent years.

And work has now begun on a cycle path widening scheme in Woodloes Park.

Over £200,000 has been allocated to a scheme that will see a cycle route built along Coventry Road in Warwick.

And the council has announced a series of 'pop-up' youth events that will be run from two vans which are being driver across the county.

Nearly 600 residents have backed a petition to see average speed cameras installed in Long Itchington.

And £13.4million has been allocated to build a new primary school south of Warwick by the county council.
