Here is a roundup of the biggest decisions that have been made by the local councils in the last month.

Warwick District Council

Visitors to Leamington Spa Cemetery, Brunswick Street, are being asked to help Warwick District Council, following the destruction of many gravestones on Saturday 6 July.

Warwickshire County Council

Council officials have been accused of "butchering" more than 20 trees that line the centre of Henley-in-Arden in a bid to save money.

Leading councillors have approved stricter fines for unauthorised school absences.

Warwickshire County Council faces delaying, cutting back on or stopping altogether capital projects amid bleak financial projections. 

The county councillor who oversees health in Warwickshire has questioned whether "blame letters" are the most effective way of tackling worsening childhood obesity. 

Locals are being told to allow extra time for their journeys as works on the Queensway and Ford Foundry (Myton Road/Old Warwick Road) roundabouts are well underway.

County councillors who approved Warwickshire Fire & Rescue's new operating model could be asked to reconsider the decision by political rivals. 

Support from residents, businesses and community groups is needed to help create a new plan to help boost the local environment.

The X16 and 18 bus services in Warwick district are due to be merged due to "low passenger numbers", the county council has confirmed.

A major project to create more spaces for children with special educational needs at a Kenilworth primary school is set to get underway this summer.
