Warwick residents can now apply for their green bin permits for the coming year - with the price from 1 April 2024 set to increase to £44.

Consultants working on the new South Warwickshire Local Plan are being asked to go back to the drawing board amid "considerable unhappiness" over expected housing numbers.

Warwickshire County Council

Some of the most controversial cuts in Warwickshire County Council's long-term financial plans have been shelved in a £5 million reshuffle.

Warwickshire County Council is set to put up council tax by the maximum amount allowed – more than £80 for the average household.

And WCC is facing pressure over the disparity between recommendations to tackle domestic abuse while earmarking services for future cuts.

Growing financial pressures have prompted a councillor of more than 30 years to admit he has "never seen it this bad".

Residents have also been asked what they think about the reuse and recycling facility at local tips.

Warwick locals are being encouraged to suggest possible locations for future electric vehicle charging points in the county.

A councillor has called for lessons to be learned after a year of no tangible progress on a push to introduce free school meals for all primary-age children.

Bridleways and paths across Warwickshire could be changed in the next few years as the county council calls on local residents to share their views.
