A car park in Warwick will be completely shut for ten days this August as the Commonwealth Games cycling road race comes to the town.

Warwick District Council has confirmed that Myton Fields car park will be shut from Tuesday, August 2 to Friday 12.

This despite the fact that the road race, which will start and finish in St Nicholas Park, will run only on Sunday, August 7.

The Myton Road car park will also close for the day on Tuesday, July 26. It will then reopen on July 27 with a reduced number of spaces.
