Town Criers Competition returning to Warwick this April

Warwick's Pageant Garden will be full of noise on Saturday 13 April as the Town Criers Competition returns.

First held in 1995, the event has become an iconic part of the town's calendar, and is organised by Warwick Court Leet.

The event will get underway 12 noon, with prospective town criers expected to travel from across the country to Warwick.

"Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! The Town Criers Competition is coming to Warwick on Saturday 13 April in Pageant Gardens, Castle Street, Warwick – all welcome," a post on social media said.

"Warwick traders can also promote their businesses by commissioning a personalised cry to be delivered by one of the Town Criers at their premises!"

Local businesses including Hamlington's Fine Jewellery, Titled Wig and Ronnie's of Warwick have already signed up for the personalised cry!
