Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run on the edge of Warwick.

The incident on Monday (27 October) involved a cyclist and a silver car – possibly a Honda Jazz - on the A4189 Hampton Road/Henley Road.

The cyclist – a 17-year-old boy - suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, however the car was driven away from the scene.

Police believe a driver in a learner car may have gone past shortly afterwards and they believe they or the passenger may be able to help as a witness.

"Equally, if anyone has dashcam footage that can help, please get in touch," a Warwickshire Police statement said.

"Anyone with information should contact us quoting incident number 262 of 27 October."

The incident reportedly happened between 4.10pm and 4.30pm.
