Here are our top picks for the coming days:

1. Two Castles

Residents are being encouraged to line the streets on Sunday morning (June 9) to cheer on the 4,500 runners taking part in the Two Castles Run.

The annual event organised by the Rotary Club of Kenilworth and Leamington Cycling and Athletic Club will see runners complete the 10km distance between Warwick Castle and Kenilworth Castle.

The route will take the 4,500 runners from the centre of Warwick, through Leek Wootton and onto Kenilworth where they will finish in the grounds of the castle.

This weekend will be the 40th year of the race, with entrants raising money for causes of their own choice.

2. Pride Takeover!

This Saturday's market in Warwick will be all about Pride!

Organisers said: "Let's spread the love and celebrate diversity! In honor of PRIDE month, Warwick Market will be embracing a pride-themed atmosphere on Saturday, 8 June 2024.

"Join us in commemorating equality, acceptance, and love for all. Our markets are inclusive spaces where everyone is welcome to come together and enjoy the festivities. 

"Warwickshire Pride will be attending, with information on local support and services, drag queens, fun and games, advice & support. And subject to Operational Demand, Warwickshire Fire & Resuce will also be coming along! 

"Let's make this a day to remember as we embrace and celebrate love in all its forms."

3. FuturepROOFing

National Trust's Coughton Court officially opens their Scaffold Viewing Platform just in time for the summer.

As part of the major £3.3 million Through the Roof: FuturepROOFing Coughton Court project taking place this year. Coughton Court are offering visitors a once in lifetime opportunity this May half term to scale to new heights with the Scaffold Viewing Platform.

Visitors now have the chance to grab a hi-vis and hard hat and climb 100 steps to the top of the scaffolding. Once there, they will be greeted with stunning views of the Coughton Court estate and the surrounding Alcester countryside.

Visitors will have the opportunity to witness specialists working on the Tower roof throughout the open season.
