Venues across Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire will see morris dancers and musicians taking part in the Vale of Evesham Morris Weekend between Friday 21 and Sunday 23 June 2024.

The event, now in its 21st year, will involve 500 morris from 36 'sides' dancing different genres, including Border, Cotswold, Mumming, Molly Dancing, Northwest and Rapper.

Warwick, Alcester and Stratford-upon-Avon will all feature as locations for dancing on the Saturday, before all the entrants head to Evesham for a final display.

Festivities include:

  • Informal folk music and song sessions on the Friday and Saturday evenings at Evesham Rowing Club, the Red Lion, Evesham and the Fleece Inn, Bretforton
  • Dancing throughout Saturday at the various towns and villages culminating in an end of day display in Abbey Gardens, Evesham
  • A procession on Sunday by 25 sides from Abbey Park, Evesham along Bridge Street to Market Place starting at 11.15am
  • Dancing in Market Place and Evesham town centre throughout Sunday afternoon

The "Evesham Stick" will be presented by the Mayor to the side that has best-demonstrated the 'spirit of the morris'.
