Here are our top picks for the coming days:
1. Saltisford Trust
Come explore the Saltisford Canal Arm and discover life on the canals, past and present on Sunday 8 September.
Home to permanent residents and travelling boats all year round, this is an opportunity to "discover this hidden gem of Warwick".
Visitors can meet a traditional fender maker and see his working home, watch a traditional canal artist at work and have a go at rag rug making.
Traditional working boat 'Raymond' will be open for visits and tours from its knowledgeable volunteers.
2. Open Days
Dozens of buildings across Warwick district are set to throw open their doors next month, giving locals a chance to explore some local history.
Heritage Open Days runs from September 6 to 15, and will see nearly 50 local buildings open, some of which are not normally accessible to the public.
This year's event, which is part of England's largest festival of history and culture, will see locals allowed inside Guy's Cliffe Walled Garden, a number of local churches and even the Leper Hospital in Warwick which is currently being repurposed.
3. Open Mic
The Old Coffee Tavern is launching a new monthly open mic night - and the first event is Thursday 5 September!
Head down to the Old Square inn from 8pm for an evening of music and fun.
Organisers said: "Autumn's just around the corner – and what better way to while away these beautiful sun-kissed evenings than in historic Warwick at The Old Coffee Tavern for our new music jam session and open mic night? It's on the first Thursday of the month, in the Old Square, and our first one is on 5 September 2024.
"We provide everything you need to perform in terms of microphones and amplification, so please bring an instrument, your best voice, a cheery smile, a thirst in need of quenching, hunger in need of feeding, and an appreciative ear."
A couple of local bands are already confirmed for the first night to try out some new material!
