New Warwick restaurant given five-star hygiene rating

By James Smith   8th Jan 2026

Royal Currys, a popular Indian restaurant located in the heart of Warwick, has "proudly achieved" a five star food hygiene rating, the highest possible standard awarded.

The award for the Emscote Road eatery comes following a recent Food Standards Agency inspection.

The five-star rating reflects excellent standards of cleanliness, food handling, kitchen management, and overall hygiene practices across the restaurant.

Inspectors praised Royal Currys for its well-maintained kitchen facilities, strong food safety controls, and commitment to protecting customer health and wellbeing.

Since opening last year, Royal Currys has become well known among local residents for its authentic Indian flavours, quality ingredients, and warm hospitality.

Speaking on the achievement, the management of Royal Currys said that the rating is the result of consistent staff training, strict hygiene procedures, and a strong culture of cleanliness maintained every day, not just during inspections.

"Our priority has always been to serve our customers safe, high-quality food in a clean and welcoming environment," said the management.

"This five-star rating is a proud moment for our entire team and a reassurance to our customers."

The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme helps customers make informed choices when eating out, and a 5-star rating indicates that a business meets the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Royal Currys continues to welcome diners from Warwick and surrounding areas, offering a wide range of traditional and modern Indian dishes, while maintaining excellence in hygiene and service.
