Warwick's South Indian gem, Fusion Clan, is celebrating the festive season in style with a specially curated Christmas menu available throughout the month and on December 25 itself.

The fusion restaurant opened for the first time in January this year, bringing a "passion for bold flavours" as well as the spices and history of Kerela to town.

Run by Aby Joseph, Joshi Johny, and Thomas P Mathew, Fusion Clan has proved a big hit with locals, offering unique, traditional south Indian food and twists on classic western dishes - not just your standard westernised curries.

The eatery's Christmas offering is no different.

"You won't have a Christmas meal like this anywhere locally," Aby told Nub News.

"One of the main dishes is Roasted Turkey with Chef Joshi's Twist - succulent turkey breast stuffed with Malabar spice infused Cumberland sausage meat, apricot, cranberry, wrapped with streaky bacon, accompanied by roasted potatoes, festive vegetables and roasted ginger.

"So it is not like you are coming to have a curry, but at the same time, you got something that is really special and different.

"A western dish with the flavours and feel of South India."

As well as its already popular a la carte menu, the Smith Street restaurant has a few options through the festive period.

Dinners can enjoy the three course Christmas menu for £34.95 from now until December 22, with canapes and fizz available for a five course meal from December 23 to 26 for just £44.95. The festive menu is available on December 23 to 26 but needs to be pre-ordered 48 hours in advance.

Other dishes include Keralan spiced pan fried chicken liver, salmon fillet, jack fruit and butter bean wellington, king prawns and salmon salad, and even chocolate and orange tart with alfonso mango sorbet for dessert.

The festive menu will be available alongside the a la carte offering which includes popular favourites including the venison arancini, salmon malukoshiym with kerala brown rice, beef thenga pal stew and lamb shank biryani.

The festive feel continues as guests throughout December are also being treated to the gift of vouchers for money off the bill or glasses of wine on future visits.

And explaining what to expect at Fusion Clan, Aby said: "Fusion Clan is bringing you flavours of South India entwined with European cuisine to surprise your taste buds like never before.

"You will experience Indian flavours in a way you would never think of.

"If you fancy a flavourful journey that goes beyond borders and celebrates the rich culinary tapestry of Kerala, come down to Fusion Clan.

"For such a small place Kerala's flavours have given so much - and yet not that many people know that.

"The flavours we use here are very traditional to that area, and the food we serve here is what people in Kerala actually eat and cook in their own homes.

"You can only really understand it if you try it."

The menu has been crafted by chef Joshi who has over 20 years experience in kitchens in the UK.

Spending just a few weeks getting the restaurant ready, Fusion Clan has been their first foray into running restaurants as a trio.

And as they near the restaurant's first anniversary, Aby said: "We are seeing a lot of people coming back, which is really, really nice to see.

"We've got regulars who are, you know, great and people who book in us groups and which is all fantastic.

"We do really enjoy running the restaurant, and are hoping to get more people to come down and see what we do."
