Police are investigating a string of burglaries across Warwick last night.

The offences occurred in areas around the racecourse, Heathcote and Emscote Road, Warwickshire Police said.

Crimes were reported to the force this morning (January 24) and an investigation has now begun.

Detective Inspector Sarah Wolsey from Warwickshire Police said: "Early enquiries shows these offences occurred across the town throughout the night.

"I'd like to reassure local people that we have deployed significant resources to the area this morning to investigate the offences and deter further offending.

"We have several significant lines of enquiry we're following at the moment and we're urging anyone who has identified anything suspicious on door cam footage or saw anything suspicious to get in touch with us."
