Motorists are being warned of disruption once again at a busy Warwick junction where roadworks have resumed.

The works at St Johns paused in December for the Christmas period, but resumed last week.

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) is installing a shared cycleway/footpath, new crossings, bike racks and service road outside the shops.

The scheme started at St Johns in October and will continue around the end of Smith Street, Priory Road and the main St Johns crossroads until March 2026.

"While there will be disruption during to the works, we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum," the local authority said.

WCC wants to "improve connectivity and enhance the experience for pedestrians, cyclists and business users" in the area.

This as well as making the area more attractive with "material enhancements outside the retail/commercial area while preserving as many parking bays as possible".

The existing traffic lights at St Johns will also be upgraded and the roads around the junction are to have "essential maintenance".
