Road closures confirmed for Warwick Folk Festival

Several Warwick roads will be closed across this weekend as the annual folk festival returns to town.

Over 80 artists will perform at the event, which will be held at Castle Park from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July.

2023 is the 43rd Warwick Folk Festival and will also include a fringe event in the town centre which will feature free concerts, sessions, and dance displays from the Friday evening until Sunday.

CJ's Events Warwickshire Ltd has now confirmed a number of road closures across the weekend.

Full Road Closure Details:

6am Saturday 29 July – 8pm Sunday 30 July

  • Market Place – from its junctions with Market Street and New Street
  • The Holloway

8am - 9pm Saturday 29 July

  • Smith Street
  • Gerrard Street
  • Cross Street (junction with Private Car Park & Smith Street)
  • Chapel Street (junction with Chapel Row & Smith Street) 

6am Saturday 29 July – 8pm Sunday 30 July

  • Castle Street
  • Swan Street

2.30pm – 4pm – Saturday 29 July 2023

  • Northgate Street
  • Church Street
  • High Street – from its junctions with Church Street and Swan Street

10am – 5pm Sunday 30 July 2023

  • Castle Street
  • Church Street

If the event has finished earlier, roads will be re-opened sooner, only if safe to do so.
