Road closure details announced as Warwick Folk Festival returns

Running from Thursday 21 July until Sunday 24, the Warwick Folk Festival returns this weekend for the first time in three years.

With the main event taking place at Castle Park, adjacent to the castle, a fringe festival will also be held in the town centre.

CJ's Events Warwickshire has announced that several roads will be closed across Warwick.

6am Saturday 23 July – 8pm Sunday 24 July

  • Market Place – from its junctions with Market Street and New Street
  • The Holloway

8am - 9pm Saturday 23 July

  • Smith Street
  • Gerrard Street
  • Cross Street (junction with Private Car Park & Smith Street)
  • Chapel Street (junction with Chapel Row & Smith Street) 

6am Saturday 23 July – 8pm Sunday 24 July

  • Castle Street
  • Swan Street

2.30pm – 4pm Saturday 23 July

  • Northgate Street
  • Church Street
  • High Street – from its junctions with Church Street and Swan Street

10am – 5pm Sunday 24 July 2022

  • Castle Street
  • Church Street

"If the event has finished earlier, roads will be re-opened sooner, only if safe to do so," CJ's said.
