Plans to turn a Warwick family home into a house in multiple occupation (HMO) are set to go ahead after permission was granted by the district council.

Blacker Adams Property Group Ltd has been granted a lawful development certificate for the project, which will see an existing four-bed home on Coventry Road turned into a five-bed HMO.

Plans submitted to Warwick District Council show the rooms will be split across three floors, with a communal kitchen lounge area on the ground floor alongside the first ensuite bedroom.

On the first floor there will be two more ensuite rooms, with two studio apartments on the second floor.

And on the second floor would be two studio apartments.

The refit will see the loss of the downstairs lounge, and a bathroom on the first floor would be included in one of the rooms.

A council report signed off on the certificate, saying the works were not comprehensive enough to require full planning permission.

Locals can have their say on the plans here.
