Parcel locker installed without permission in Warwick
By Nadia Sayed 18th Oct 2026
Plans have been submitted retrospectively for a parcel locker installed in Warwick over a year ago.
The application concerns an InPost Parcel Locker on Emscote Road, which was installed in February 2025.
Now, more than a year later, planning permission is being sought for the locker.
InPost Lockers are secure, automated, self-service terminals that allow people to collect online deliveries, send parcels, and drop off returns 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Warwickshire County Council assessed the application and raised no concerns about the impact on highway safety.
In its assessment, the authority noted that the locker is located outside the public highway and does not appear to affect the operation of the adjacent footway.
It added that the proposal was "not considered likely to generate significant levels of additional traffic and any associated visits would be expected to be of short duration and relatively spread out."
