St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre is hosting a free open day on Sunday 10 July following a major renovation.

Operator Everyone Active recently announced a £400,000 refurbishment of its gym areas at Warwick's leisure centre and Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre.

The works are due to be completed on July 9.

Running from 9am to 4pm, a wide range of activities will be on offer at the open day.

For younger children, active antz and toddler clip 'n' climb will be available, whilst older children can enjoy the inflatable fun sessions, trampolining and gymnastics.

Family swimming will be available for all ages, including fun sessions in the improved leisure pool at Newbold Comyn and very popular inflatable sessions.

Members and customers will also be given an opportunity to visit the new gym, featuring brand new, state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

New gym kit demonstrations will be hosted on the day alongside personal training taster sessions, gym challenges and health checks.

For anyone keen to experience fitness classes, body combat, body pump, group cycle, virtual cycle, zumba and Everyone Active's very own EA30 exercise classes will be available to attend.

Gareth Wagg, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: "We would like to welcome the local community to come along to Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre and St Nicholas Park Leisure Centre on Sunday 10 July to not only experience our brand new gyms, but also take advantage of the wide range of activities on offer.

"Whether you have children to keep entertained, want to kick start your health and fitness journey with a health check, or you just want to come down and have some fun with friends at one of our most popular fitness classes – we've got something for everyone. Book now to avoid disappointment!"

Warwick District Council's portfolio holder for neighbourhood and leisure Cllr Moira-Ann Grainger added: "We are delighted that Everyone Active have continued to update and invest in our wonderful facilities.

"Do come along on Sunday and take a closer look, maybe try something new, bring the family, there is something for everyone of offer, including extra activities over the summer months."
