New defibrillator unveiled in Warwick
By James Smith 16th Oct 2026
A new defibrillator has been installed at a Warwick museum.
The life-saving equipment was installed at The Queen's Royal Hussars Museum on Priory Road earlier this week.
"The project has been ten years in the making, beginning with fundraising by local traders, led by Maria Denney of the Green Monkey Tea Room. Warwick Rotary Club generously contributed the remaining funds and donated the defibrillator, cabinet and bleed kit," the museum said.
"Thanks to Laurie Day for securing planning approval and Adrian Barton of Linleigh Electrical for installing the equipment free of charge.
"Our curator, Andy Milton, welcomed the Mayor of Warwick, Cllr Simon Pargeter, Rotary President Rachel Hinton and representatives from Warwick Rotary Club, Warwickshire Hearts First Responders and local businesses for the formal handover."
Warwickshire Hearts First Responders will also be providing training for local traders.
The fully automated defibrillator gives spoken instructions to guide users through its operation.
"We'd like to thank everyone who contributed their time, generosity and expertise to bring this project to completion," the museum added.
"It's a wonderful example of community spirit, and we're proud that our museum can play a part in helping keep Warwick safe.
"We hope it will never be needed, but we're glad it's here!"
