Motorist arrested after being found to be drink driving in Warwick

A motorist has been arrested after driving intoxicated in Warwick and with a roadside breath test reading 22 over the legal limit.

The incident occurred last night (4 February) when officers, out on high visibility patrols around key hot spot areas, spotted the vehicle.

After admitting to drinking alcohol, a roadside breath test was completed and the reading provided was 57, the legal limit is 35.

The driver has been arrested and taken to custody to be processed.

Warwick Police shared: "Please take this as a stark reminder that if you decide to drink drive on our roads and put innocent drivers at risk you will be caught and you will be arrested."
