More disabled parking spots come to Warwick
By James Smith 19th Oct 2026
More disabled parking will be created in Warwick, the county council has confirmed.
Warwickshire County Council has approved a scheme for several new blue badge spots across the town, and for two to be removed.
A new bay will be created on West Street as well as four more on Pickard Street.
An existing blue badge bay on Sharpe Close will be removed and replaced with one in the turning circle.
"The bay will be positioned to provide convenient proximity to key entrances and will be clearly designated to prevent inappropriate use," a council report said.
Meanwhile, another bay on Victoria Street will be permanently removed.
"The decision to remove the Disabled Parking Bay at the above location has been made following a review of current usage, accessibility needs, and site conditions.
"The bay is no longer required, and its continued presence may contribute to inefficient use of available parking space."
A public consultation on the changes was held earlier this year.
