A crash involving an HGV on the M40 Southbound near Longbridge Island has caused serious delays (image via SWNS)

A crash has led to serious delays on the M40 southbound.

The delays follow an incident involving a heavy goods veichle (HGV) which crashed into the central reservation on the M40 near Longbridge Island.

Traffic is currently backed up around Longbridge and Longbridge Island.

Police have advised motorists to reroute accordingly while the collision is dealt with and thanked drivers for their patience.
