The council is asking for local feedback on parking problems around a number of residential streets in Heathcote.

Warwickshire County Council said residents of Coriolanus Square and the adjacent roads have complained about anti-social parking from users of the local health centre, rehabilitation hospital and shops.

Now, the local authority wants to know how much of an issue it is for locals, and whether it should take direct action.

Residents have until July 13 to have their say.

A council statement said: "We understand vehicles are being parked on pavements, too close to junctions and private driveways, restricting access and this is occurring at all times of the day and night.

"In turn, this parking is leading to concerns about restricting access for emergency vehicles, the refuse service and safety of the people walking and cycling around the area.

"The council has been asked to consider introducing measures to help manage dangerous and obstructive parking in the form of legal Traffic Regulation Order (TRO).

"The council can then use its civil parking enforcement powers to issue a financial penalty to motorists who don't comply with the restrictions."

The council said it has already spoken to the health centre to ensure its car park is back to full capacity.

Police are also due to monitor the area to tackle parking problems.
