The M40 has finally reopened near Leamington following a "serious collision" between a car and a lorry in the early hours of this morning (May 8).

Emergency services were first called to the scene between junctions 12 and 13 at 3am this morning.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service left at 4.15am but Warwickshire Police has been conducting an investigation since.

But now an update from National Highways says the road is full open again.
