Free gigs will be held at pubs and venues across Warwick town centre as part of this year's Warwick Folk Festival.

The 46th instalment of the Warwick Folk Festival heads to town from July 24 to 27 and the main event at Castle Green is now completely sold out.

But that does not mean locals cannot get involved, as the fringe festival heads to the town centre over the weekend.

Local pubs including The Old Coffee Tavern, The Roebuck, Dough & Brew and The Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel will all be hosting gigs across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Open air concerts will also be held in Market Place on Saturday evening, Sunday daytime and Sunday evening.

Organisers said: "We’ve a packed programme of entertainment for all ages on the fringe’s main site.

"Plus the Warwick Folk Festival Fringe when the town centre comes alive with free concerts, sessions and dance displays from the Friday evening until Sunday."

Warwick Folk Festival also comes on the same weekend as the return of the Smith Street Party.
