A former Warwick business is on the market following the retirement of its owner.

The former home of Owens TV & Domestic Appliances at 83-95 Emscote Road in Warwick is being marketed by Bromwich Hardy.

It includes a "detached and self-contained retail space with upper floor offices, which totals 5,868 sq ft of space".

The freehold property has a guide price of £1 million.

Tom Bromwich, managing partner at Bromwich Hardy, explained that the opportunity included the freehold of Herald Court to the rear, where 25 ground rents are being paid, and that four freehold garages were separately available.

Mr Bromwich said: "This is a rare opportunity to acquire what are superbly located and highly prominent premises that could be suitable for a variety of uses, subject to planning permission.

"This property is being sold following the retirement of Dennis Owen this year at the grand old age of 91.

"Mr Owen started his retail business back in the mid-1960s and bought his first retail unit at this property, gradually acquiring the whole block and enjoying nearly 60 years of trading there.
