Historic steam engine to travel through Hatton
By James Smith 28th Oct 2026
Steam enthusiasts will be able to see an historic locomotive travel through Hatton next month as the Worcester Shakespeare Express returns to Warwickshire.
Run by Vintage Trains, the excursion will make its way from Worcester Scrub Hill to Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday 8 November.
As in previous editions, once the express arrives in Stratford, it will head back to Birmingham in the interim, before returning to Stratford later in the day to collect passengers and return back to Worcester.
Either 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe or 7029 Clun Castle are expected to haul the express.
It will pass through Hatton and Henley-in-Arden on the day.
The Worcester Shakespeare Express will arrive at Stratford at 12.29pm and depart back to Worcester at 4.48pm.
"The Worcester Shakespeare Express runs a steam-hauled route through Worcestershire and Warwickshire to Stratford-upon-Avon, joining the Shakespeare Line at express speed and passing several stations that still carry their original Great Western Railway features," organisers said.
Tickets start from £53.00 per person.
