Helicopter aids arrest of twenty-three-year-old woman in Warwick

A twenty-three-year-old woman has been taken into custody on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.

The incident prompted the deployment of a police helicopter in Warwick this afternoon (1 October).

The event unfolded when a vehicle failed to stop for officers in the Emscote area at approximately 2pm.

The vehicle was eventually halted on Wharf Street in the town, with the helicopter providing support to assist the police's search for the vehicle.

The woman was arrested and is currently in police custody.

Two other suspects including the driver are currently outstanding.

One police vehicle being damaged during the pursuit and there have been no reported injuries.
