A flood warning has been issued for Gog Brook in Warwick, with locals told there is a risk of flooding to houses.

The warning - posted on the Gov.uk website - was issued in the early hours of this morning (December 4), and warns of further rainfall causing further water level rises.

"River levels have risen at the Warwick Old Budbrooke Road river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall," the warning said.

"Consequently, flooding of property is possible overnight into Monday, 04/12/23.

"Flooding is affecting properties along Lodge Crescent

"Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to continue to rise until later this morning.

"We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.

"Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger."
