Five weeks of roadworks on a busy road between Warwick and Leamington Spa are underway.

Traffic lights were put in place on Myton Road on Monday 19 October as works to repair a canal bridge began.

Works are due to run until November 20.

The lights - installed by Warwickshire County Council - will only be switched on between 9am and 3pm.

Nearby Myton School has told parents to think ahead of pick up and drop off times.

"We would ask all families to plan their journeys carefully and allow additional travel time, particularly at the start of the school day," the school said.

"It is essential that students arrive at school on time so that they are present for registration and the beginning of lessons.

"Late arrival can have a negative impact on learning, disrupt teaching and affect students' readiness to engage fully with the school day."
