Decision for former Warwick car showroom plans delayed again

The decision on whether or not a former Warwick car showroom will be turned into two new shops is approved, have been delayed once more.
In the planning meeting held on Tuesday, 20 May, Warwick District Council's planning committee was set to discuss the application for the former Kia Showroom on Stratford Road.
However, plans for the agenda were pulled for a second time "in order to enable the applicant to clarify certain aspects of their proposals."
The application was also withdrawn from the previous planning meeting held in April for reasons noting: "This item has been withdrawn from the agenda pending further consultations and clarification."
A council report had recommended Warwickshire Partnership's planning application be refused, saying there would not be enough parking on site.
"The proposal would provide insufficient parking which fails to comply with the council's adopted parking standards," the report said.
"Therefore, it is recommended that planning permission is refused."
The planning documents state that the site has been vacant since April 2023.
Multiple objections had been made to the application, which would have seen a 'top-up' food shop created and a smaller unit for a hairdressers, funeral director or salon.
The council has not said when the decision will be made.
